INTERESTING DOCUMENT from my archives - it shows that VOLKSWAGEN was handed over to Her Majesty at the end of the second world war and that senior managers were British army officers who wrote in English. British taxes were used to give Volkswagen massive orders for military vehicles - rather than supporting the British car industry, the Palace has developed VW into one of the world's biggest corporations and smashed the British trades unions. This explains why VW owns many important brands of car - the acquisitions come from a bottomless pit of cash provided by Her Majesty and our taxes! There is no official 'owner' of VW - it is registered as being the property of the local mayor! It is, in fact, a ' 'front' for Buckingham Palace.
